General Meeting2 - Fall 2009

The second general meeting of the fall semester '09 went off well.President and committee members gave updates about their current action items.Invited guest Dr. Goodman, the director of SHS, started his talk stating the increase in frequency of Swine Flu victims, with a total of around 5 cases in county. He informed that Swine flu vaccines are available (nasal form) at SHS and some more injections are soon reaching. SHS is providing with seasonal and swine flu shots for 15$, which cannot be waived of because of the limited budget of SHS. Around 1200 seasonal flu shots have been provided so far, and more are expected to reach soon. Immunization from Chicken Pox can be obtained from Phelps County Hospital.
He also mentioned that SHS is concentrating on keeping the campus clean and hygienic to prevent any outbreak of disease. He announced that SHS will be shifting to a new building soon, but without any increase in student health service fee. A brief question answer round followed the discussion where he discussed some of these issues in more detail.
